Wandsmen
Wandsmen are a team of men and women who are ambassadors on behalf of St Paul’s Cathedral, welcoming visitors to services of worship and other events at the Cathedral, providing visitors with a memorable, enjoyable and spiritually uplifting experience.
Many Wandsmen join a Sunday team on a six week rota covering the three services of : Mattins (10am): Eucharist (11.15am) and Evensong (3pm) finishing at 4pm. However, other possibilities exist such as:
- Sunday Morning or Afternoon only
- Special services that occur between Monday & Saturday (daytime or early evening).
We ask that all Wandsmen support special services that occur throughout the year as they are able and especially the busy seasons of Christmas and Easter.
We are seeking volunteers who can demonstrate and deliver patience, perseverance, attention to detail, problem solving, compassion and good humour. Volunteering is primarily on Sunday, on a six weekly rota, morning or afternoon.
If you would like to become part of the Cathedral Community and can commit to attending and supporting the Cathedral on a regular basis, please apply today to join the team.
